Angel came to live at our home in August 1991. She was our oberhasli foundation doe and was easily the herd queen and everyone's favorite. Unfortunately we suddenly lost Angel in February 2003 at the age of 13. She was definitely one of the those does that you only get the chance to own once in a lifetime and she will be forever missed and loved. Her memory does live on in the 5 beautiful daughters that we have remaining in the herd, as well as many granddaughters and grandsons. Angel was shown at Nationals four times placing 3rd, 2nd and 1st two times. Because she was such an essential part of our does' pedigrees, she will remain on our website for reference and a much deserving tribute. Words cannot express how much she is missed nor how much she has given us over the past 13 years. She was truly one of a kind and will always remain in our hearts. Although she is gone, she will be far from forgotten.

Born: 03/1997 Linear Appraisal: DHIR:

Keepsake is now retired from showing after recovering from mastitis, she lives at home comfortably as a brood doe. She has tremendous length of body and levelness over the topline and is easily the tallest, most powerful doe we have ever owned. Not only is she tall but also remains very strong on her feet and legs, smoothly blended through out, with a mammary system that is correct in shape and is still held high and wide into the escutcheon. Over the years she has had multiple GCH and BOB to her credit as well as 5xBDIS.

CH Udderly Crazy Snow Flurry (GE)
Born: 04/2000 Linear Appraisal:
2-04 90 VEEE
Flurry was the most promising doe we have seen out of our recorded grade-breeding program as yet. Like her dam, Keepsake, excelled in general appearance but with more style and femininity. Her topline was nearly ideal while on the move and at rest, with an extreme amount of smoothness through out. Her sire, Snow Man did improve sharpness and angularity as well as passing on a more globular shaped udder that was held high and wide into the rear udder, with correctness in both teat placement and size. She ended up finishing her championship in the 2003 show season, making her a 4th Generation Permanent Champion and was 1st with 1st udder 2yr old at '02 National in Colorado, and was our second 90 appraisal score. Suddenly and sadly we lost Flurry in 2003 due to a rupture in her right uterine artery only two days after freshening with twin does. It was a very hard loss for the herd and she will be deeply missed. She will remain on our website for reference and a much deserving tribute

Udderly Crazy Sierra Nevada (AB)
Born: 03/2001 Linear Appraisal:
Nevada had certainly has taken after her dam, Sierra, in general appearance, having a nearly ideal topline, strength to feet and legs, and a smoothly blended front end. She is improved over her dam in dairy character being more open in ribbing and more flatness of bone. Her mammary system is well attached, with good HEIGHT in the rear and extension to the fore. With teats that are a little more plum then her dams, but could be a little more ideal is shape and delineation. Like her dam Sierra, she will be a slow maturing doe. Nevada was sold to a good show home in 2004. She is on the website for reference back her doe that has remained in the herd. |
